Creating Connections between Faith Communities and the Media in Wolverhampton

28th November 2024 saw the latest in the Religion Media Centre’s series of Creating Connections events taking place at Molineux football ground in Wolverhampton.  The event brought together representatives of local faith communities and journalists, providing opportunities for those in the media to deepen their understanding of faith, and for people of different faith groups to understand more about the media.  Dal Darroch, Head of Diversity and Inclusion at the Football Association, was one of the keynote speakers, alongside local vicar and diocesan interfaith adviser Revd Ray Gaston and Dr Opinderjit Takhar from the University of Wolverhampton.  A group of students from City of Wolverhampton College also participated in the event, sharing young people’s experiences of religion and the media.
