Understanding Christianity is a major resource designed to support teaching about Christianity in Religious Education for pupils between the ages of 4 and 14 of all faiths and none.  It seeks to help students grasp both the over-arching story of Christianity, key concepts within Christian faith, and the ways in which these are lived out in the lives of Christians today.  Developed by RE Today Services in partnership with the Church of England, Understanding Christianity is now being used by around 4500 schools in England and Wales, with encouraging results.

95% of schools currently using Understanding Christianity are Church of England schools.  With Trust funding, Christian Education are able to offer training in the Understanding Christianity resource to further schools, particularly focusing on those which do not have a religious designation.

If your school could benefit from this, get in touch with us or with REToday to discuss training and support in Understanding Christianity.
