Responding to God: Exploring Christians’ Understandings of Vocation and Calling

If our previous research is correct, around a quarter to a third of churchgoing Christians in England struggle in one way or another with the idea of being ‘called’ or ‘having a vocation’.  We wanted to find out more about that.

The result is Responding to God, the third in the series of reports on ‘what helps disciples grow?’.  It explores a selection of Anglican congregations’ understandings of calling and vocation.  If we better understand how people already think about these questions, this should inform and equip those who are leading conversations about vocation and calling in a church context.

Responding to God is now available as a free download from our publications page.
